Getting started with Snappy PDF

SnappyDXF Getting Started

To be able to use Snappy PDF you need to have a drawing file open. A message will appear when there is no drawing file open. When you click on the ‘OK’ button your Project Folder will appear. From there you can select a drawing file to start with. The drawing file will be opened in Autodesk Inventor. If you already have a drawing file open you can start immediately.

When your ‘List of Selected Selected Sheets’ is finished a File Location and Name should be provided before the next steps. If all sheets should go into a single file, the name of the file will be the same as the drawing file but you can change that.
If all sheets should be separate PDF files, tick the box 'Separate PDF files'. Those files will have the name of the drawing sheet.

Generating the PDF Files

When you have selected all the required drawing sheets from the drawing file and a folder location and the only message in the list of ‘Messages’ is ‘No issues found’, you are ready to ‘Generate PDF Files’.

In case you need to redo the same files and those old files are still in the folder where the new PDF files will be saved to, the old files will not be deleted straight away; they will be moved to a (new) folder called 'Snappy PDF Moved Files'.

PDF files printed, files with the same name found in the destination folder will be moved to 'Snappy PDF Moved Files'
